In a WBO junior welterweight eliminator for a title shot that was mandatory, WBO #1 rated Kendall Holt won a tactical twelve round fight over WBO #2 Mike Arnaoutis on Friday evening at Ballys's Atlantic City. It was a very tentative and defensive battle throughout the entire match as both fighters went through long stretches where no punches were thrown. Aranoutis' lack of aggression allowed the quicker Holt to do more damage offensively. The highlight of this fight was in the twelfth round when Holt all of a sudden floored Arnaoutis with a counter right hand that put an exclamation mark on his win.
